Deputy James Day with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 41-year-old Dana Henson Morgan of Marion with felony Possession of Methamphetamine and misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was given a secured bond of $10,000.

Additionally, 40-year-old Darryll Matthew Davis of Marion, was charged with felony Possession of Methamphetamine and misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was initially denied bond due to already being out on pretrial release.

On Sunday, Deputy Day initiated a vehicle stop for traffic violations, on US-70 East. Both Morgan and Davis were passengers in the vehicle.

A subsequent search of the car and passengers by deputies turned up a suspected amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

The Marion Police Department assisted with the incident.
