Including Practicing Medicine Without a License
On July 8, members of the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office Illegal Gun Reduction and Narcotics Task Force (IGRANT) arrested Priscilla Ann Hendrix during a traffic stop on Leicester Highway following an investigation that began late last year. This investigation stemmed from a community complaint.
Throughout the course of this investigation, IGRANT was aided by the North Carolina Medical Board. Priscilla Ann Hendrix has been charged with several offenses related to Practicing Medicine without a License and Obtaining Property by False Pretense. She was released from the Buncombe County Detention Center on $60,000 bond.
BCSO District 2 Captain Chris Stockton: “We appreciate the community members bringing their concerns forward in this matter. We appreciate the work of IGRANT to fully investigate those concerns and bring charges in this case. Even though the circumstances are unique, it shows the commitment of IGRANT to bring accountability to those who look to unlawfully gain off of others.”
This is an active criminal investigation, and additional charges could be forthcoming. Anyone with information related to this investigation is asked to contact the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office at (828) 250-4639.
