The Cleveland County Sheriff's Office has released its monthly update regarding the county's registered sex offender program as part of its ongoing effort to keep residents informed and promote public safety.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the monthly report includes individuals who have recently registered with the agency, relocated within Cleveland County, or transferred into the county following their release from the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction.

The Sheriff's Office says its Sex Offender Registry Office continues to process new registrations and address updates, verify offender information as required by state law, and conduct regular compliance checks throughout the county.

Residents can search the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation's official Sex Offender Registry to view the names, addresses, and registration information of offenders living in Cleveland County and across the state.

Anyone with questions or concerns regarding the county's sex offender registry may contact the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office at 704-484-4788.

The Sheriff's Office encourages residents to stay informed by utilizing the registry and reporting any concerns to law enforcement.
