Daniel McKeown

Daniel McKeown, age 76, of Mooresboro, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2026 at the Colonial Manor in Rutherfordton.

Daniel was born Sunday, April 23, 1950 in Toronto, Canada to the late James Duffin McKeown and Yvonne Ladouceur McKeown. He was a member of High Shoal Baptist Church. Daniel enjoyed singing karaoke, cooking and especially loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Faye McKeown; son, Shane Dysart; brothers, Michael McKeown and Terry McKeown.

Those left to honor his memory include a daughter, Shannon Dysart; son, Ricky Dysart both of Forest City; sister, Colleen McKeown of Oshawa, Ontario; brother, Scott McKeown of Darrie, Ontario; granddaughters, Amber Dysart, Ariona Liberati, Skyler Dysart and a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Daniel’s life will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 7th at High Shoal Baptist Church with Reverend Shane Adkins officiating.

Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
