Dunham’s Sports to Open Spindale Store June 19

Dunham’s Sports will officially open its newest location in Spindale on Friday, June 19, with a weekend of promotions, giveaways and special offers for customers.

The new store is located in White Oaks Plaza at 1639 U.S. 74 Alternate and will open its doors at 9 a.m. Dunham’s officials said residents of Spindale, Forest City and surrounding communities are invited to attend the grand opening celebration.

To mark the occasion, the sporting goods retailer will offer several promotions throughout the opening weekend. The first 150 adult customers who make a purchase of $19.99 or more on June 19 will receive a Dunham’s Sports gift card valued at up to $250. The first 100 families in line will also receive a shopping bag containing a coupon for 25% off the regular price of everything that fits inside the bag. The coupon is valid only on June 19 and excludes certain items.

On June 20, the first 50 adults entering the store will receive a complimentary Dunham’s T-shirt. On June 21, the first 50 adult customers will receive a Dunham’s Sports baseball cap.

Customers will also have opportunities to enter prize drawings for several items, including a Yeti Roadie 15 hard cooler and Rambler bottle package valued at $240, a Berne Hooded Duck Jacket valued at $64.99, and a Benelli Nova 3 12-gauge pump-action shotgun valued at $749.99. Drawing winners will be selected in July.

Founded in 1937 as Dunham’s Bait & Tackle, Dunham’s Sports has grown into one of the nation’s largest sporting goods retailers, operating more than 260 stores across 26 states.

According to the company's statement, the Spindale location features expanded apparel and footwear departments, hunting, fishing, camping and water sports sections, as well as fitness equipment and team sports gear. The store will also carry golf equipment, outdoor recreation products, workwear, denim and other merchandise from a variety of national brands.

Store hours will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.

The Spindale opening marks the latest retail addition to White Oaks Plaza and brings another major sporting goods option to Rutherford County shoppers.
