An eighth person has now been charged in connection with the homicide investigation of Jordan Elaine Wishon, whose disappearance led investigators to discover her body at a Rutherfordton home.

According to public records obtained by WCAB News, Issaac Odell, 26, of Rutherfordton, was arrested on July 9 and charged with accessory after the fact. He is being held under a $350,000 secured bond. Jail records list his address as Pebblestone Lane in Rutherfordton, the same place Wishon was found.

The arrest marks the latest development in a case that began as a missing person investigation before the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office announced on June 29 that Wishon's disappearance had become a homicide investigation.

As WCAB News previously reported, investigators first charged Jaydakis Kashaune Hamilton with first-degree murder in connection with Wishon's death. Authorities later announced six additional arrests, alleging those individuals assisted Hamilton after the killing or helped conceal the crime.

Those previously charged include:

  • Christina Hamilton — accessory after the fact.

  • Tiquah Carter — accessory after the fact.

  • Alexis Nicole Morgan — accessory after the fact and failure to report a death.

  • Ronald David Gibson — accessory after the fact and failure to report a death.

  • Shadrick Deon Hines — accessory after the fact and failure to report a death.

  • Stevon Wilkerson — accessory after the fact and failure to report a death.

With Odell's arrest, eight people have now been charged in connection with the investigation.

The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office has said its Criminal Investigation Division continues to actively investigate the case and is committed to holding everyone responsible accountable.

Authorities have not released additional details about Odell's alleged role or announced any new charges against other suspects.

Jordan Wishon's death remains under investigation.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
