Forest City police seek missing man

Steven Frady’s wife urges public to share information after Sept. 20 disappearance
Forest City police are asking for help locating Steven Frady, who disappeared after leaving his residence on Beaver St. on Sept. 20.
Frady left sometime between approximately 1:13 p.m. and 3:20 p.m. that Sunday, according to a Sept. 26 statement from the department. He was last seen wearing a greenish T-shirt and blue jean shorts.
Detectives are actively following leads, police said. Investigators are asking anyone who has seen Frady since Sept. 20, knows his whereabouts, or has information about his disappearance to contact them.
His wife appealed for help on social media, urging people to continue looking for him and sharing his photographs.
“If you have any information at all please tell the police,” she said. “This man could not have just disappeared without a trace.”
She said Frady took his phone and watch but left everything else behind. She described him as healthy, with no physical or mental health issues.
“I need as much help as we can get to bring Steve home to his family,” she wrote.
Police are circulating photographs to help people recognize Frady. Although some photographs are older, his appearance remains generally similar, according to the department.
Investigators emphasized that even information someone considers insignificant could help the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lt. Moore at the Forest City Police Department at 828-245-5555, or Rutherford County Central Communications at 828-286-2911.
