In Memory of Lt. Kelly Kincaid

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the passing of Lt. Kelly Kincaid, a full-time Lieutenant with the Burke County Sheriff’s Office, a reserve Police Officer with Broughton Hospital and a dedicated firefighter with the Morganton Department of Public Safety. Lt. Kincaid tragically suffered a heart attack while fighting a fire and doing what he loved most—serving the citizens of Burke County.

His courage, commitment and selfless service will never be forgotten. Lt. Kincaid embodied the true spirit of public safety and his legacy continues to inspire all of us who wear the badge and uniform.
