Kathy Ann Thomason

Kathy Ann Thomason, age 67, of Granite Falls, NC, passed away Friday, October 9, 2026, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center while being surrounded by her loving family.

Kathy was born Monday, March 30, 1959 in Newport News, Virginia to the late Burton Oscar Allen and Betty Jean Long Allen. Kathy graduated from Chapman High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, making crafts and was an avid reader who enjoyed various genres of literature. Kathy had a servants heart and was always compassionate and caring to everyone she met. Her love for family and friends will always be cherished. Kathy will truly be missed by everyone that she impacted during her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Shane Allen Thomason and sister, Teresa Allen Clark.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Rachel Dill (Brandon) of Boiling Springs, SC, April Rebecca Thomason of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Evalee Dill, Graham Dill, Isaac Dill, Avram Thomason, Kayden Dixon and Karah Dixon and Christina Knox-Moore; siblings, Randall Allen of Boiling Springs, SC, Richard Allen (April) of Salisbury, NC, Carolyn Allen of Granite Falls, NC, Cindy Allen of Bessemer City,NC, Pamela Broussard (Vinnie) of Wilmington, NC and Josephine Vincent-Simmons (Mark) of Willow, Alaska; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her best friend, Charles Green, of Boiling Springs, SC.

Memorial Donations are suggested to the Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue, 380 US-221, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.

A service will be held at a later date.
