Detective Michael Vaughn with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 36-year-old Bryan Michael Justice of Marion with felony Discharge Weapon into Occupied Property. He received a secured bond of $107,000.
On the afternoon of Monday, Feb. 2, deputies responded to a call from a local business employee about someone shooting into their building.
Upon arrival, deputies noticed a bullet hole above the front entrance that traveled through the outside wall and struck a steel beam in the main lobby. Fragments from the bullet were located on the ground nearby.
After an investigation by detectives, it was determined that Justice was responsible for discharging the firearm into the business while employees were present.
