McDowell County, NC — Detectives with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Marion woman on multiple felony charges earlier this week.

36-year-old Kasey Miranda Branch was charged with felony larceny and felony possession of methamphetamine, according to authorities. She was issued a $15,000 secured bond.

The arrest came on Tuesday, January 13, when Detective Jordan Cox assisted the N.C. State Highway Patrol with a traffic stop involving Branch. During the stop, Branch was found to have an outstanding felony warrant out of Buncombe County.

A subsequent search of Branch and her vehicle revealed a suspected amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, leading to the additional felony charges.

Branch is currently in custody, and further details regarding the investigation have not been released.
