Marion Woman Charged with Drug Possession

Deputy Tre Spearman with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 47-year old Shana Bridgett Hogan of Marion with felony Possession of Methamphetamine and misdemeanor Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance. She was initially denied bond due to already being out on pretrial release.

On Friday, May 1, Deputy Spearman initiated a vehicle stop for a traffic violation on U.S. 70 East. Hogan was the driver and found to be operating the car without a license.

A subsequent search of the vehicle and Hogan turned up a suspected amount of methamphetamine and Xanax pills.

Hogan was arrested and transported to the McDowell County Detention Center for processing
