McDowell County Felony Drug Arrest

McDowell County authorities have charged 22-year-old Gavin Michael Terry of Nebo with felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance. Terry, who was already out on pretrial release, was given no bond following the charge.

On Wednesday, November 26, Deputy Tre Spearman and Lieutenant David Jones of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a man asleep in a vehicle in a driveway. Terry had two outstanding warrants, including a felony probation violation from Alexander County.

A search of Terry and his vehicle revealed suspected fentanyl and drug paraphernalia. He has been charged accordingly and remains in custody.
