McDowell Man Charged

Deputy Angel Hernandez with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 45-year-old Joshua Lee Mosteller of Nebo, with felony Possession of Methamphetamine. He was initially denied bond due to already being out on pretrial release.

On January 3, deputies responded to a residence on Macedonia Church Loop after a caller advised that Mosteller was standing on their porch. At that time, Mosteller had several outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Upon arrival, deputies searched his person and found a suspected amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Mosteller was taken into custody and transported to the McDowell County Detention Center for processing.
