On July 1, 2026, Burke County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a welfare check at 2362 Mount Home Church Road, Morganton. Upon arrival, deputies located a female hiding underneath an unoccupied truck parked on the property. She was identified as Gabriel Mayline Boone.

Boone was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Burke County Magistrate’s Office, where she was served with Failure to Appear charges out of Burke County, Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
