Narcotic Arrests

On March 13, 2026, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. Dylan Reed McAllister was found to be driving the vehicle and Kimberly Marquette Speagle, the owner of the vehicle, was in the passenger seat. During the stop, a probable cause search was conducted, which resulted in the discovery of approximately 6 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, a white powder substance that field tested positive for cocaine and several unprescribed Suboxone strips. Additionally, two baggies containing a powder substance were found concealed on Speagle’s person.


Both McAllister and Speagle were arrested and transported to the Burke County Magistrate’s Office. McAllister was charged with Felony Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance and Misdemeanor Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance and issued a $7,500 secured bond. Speagle was charged with Felony Possession of Cocaine and issued a $5,000 secured bond.


Both McAllister and Speagle made their first court appearance on March 16, 2026.
