Narcotics Arrest

On March 20, 2026, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 6030 Nowlings Chapel Road in Morganton, where deputies located Darryl Eugene Kirk and Robert Alan Foster.

During the search, deputies seized approximately 21 grams of methamphetamine and a trafficking amount of fentanyl from the residence.

Kirk and Foster were taken into custody and transported to the Burke County Magistrate’s Office. Kirk was charged with Felony Trafficking in Fentanyl, Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Foster was charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine.

Both Kirk and Foster were issued a 48-hour hold. Their first court appearance is scheduled for March 23, 2026.
