Last Thursday, the Rutherford County Commissioners held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new government building, located in the former Bi-Lo at 148 College Avenue. The facility now houses the Rutherford County Tax Office, Veterans Services, the Board of Elections, and, as of yesterday, the Rutherford County Library.

The building offers ample parking and convenient access from both College Avenue and Main Street. County Commission Chairman Bryan King noted that the facility is designed with accessibility in mind, allowing residents with mobility challenges to move easily throughout the space.
