Robbins Charged with Felonies After Stealing

Lieutenant Jesse Hicks with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Daniel Shane Robbins, 36, of Marion with felony Larceny of a Firearm and Felony Obtain Property by False Pretense. He was issued a secured bond of $19,500.

On Tuesday, Jan.6, Deputy Chris Dvorak spoke with a McDowell County resident about a theft. The victim stated that 3 firearms, a Milwaukee M-18 impact wrench and several radiators were stolen from his property in the Montford Cove area.

An investigation by detectives determined that Robbins stole the items and had also taken some of them to a local pawn shop to sell.
