School Bus and Pickup Truck Collide in Ellenboro; Charges Pending

The North Carolina Highway Patrol reports that charges are pending following an accident involving a Rutherford County school bus and another vehicle in Ellenboro on Tuesday morning.

According to the report, the school bus driver failed to yield the right of way to a Ford F-150 while making a left turn onto New House Road. The truck, traveling southwest on New House Road, collided with the bus.

The highway patrol stated the bus was carrying four occupants, including the driver. No injuries were reported among those on the bus. The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries and was taken to Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.

The incident remains under investigation, and charges are expected.
