Sonya Lovelace

Sonya Glenn Lovelace, age 53, of Ellenboro, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Sonya was born Sunday, May 7, 1972, in Spartanburg County, South Carolina to the late Glenn Thompson and Jenelle Poteat Thompson. Sonya was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She devoted her life to being a mama and Nana. Sonya was a published poet and was an advocate for finding missing people.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Johnson, and a sister Carmen Espey.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 28 years, Edward H Lovelace Jr; children, Melinda Putman, Justin Putman, Kimberley Putman, Brittany Lovelace; and twelve grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Saturday, March 14th at Harrelson Funeral Home.
