Teen Reported Missing in Rutherford County; Search Underway

Authorities in Rutherford County are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing teenager last seen earlier this week.
According to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, 16-year-old Gracie Lynn Toney was reported missing on March 18, 2026, from the area of South Pea Ridge Road in Mooresboro.
Toney is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Investigators say she may be wearing a red wig. She has several distinctive identifying features, including multiple piercings—septum, lip, eyebrow, belly, and nose—and tattoos, including a forward and backward “K” under her right eye, along with additional tattoos on her legs and right wrist.
She was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black pajama pants, though authorities believe she may have taken additional clothing with her.
Law enforcement officials urge anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward. Anyone who may have seen Toney or knows where she may be is asked to contact the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office at 828-286-2911 or Rutherford County Crime Stoppers at 828-286-TIPS (8477). Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the RCSO mobile app.
The investigation remains ongoing.
