Traffic Stop Leads to Arrests

On the evening of June 24, 2026, deputies with the Alexander County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on Hubbard Road.


During the course of the stop, deputies located 201 grams of methamphetamine inside the vehicle. As a result of the investigation, both occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody.


Kandra Vang A/F, age 49, of Granite Falls, was charged with:

 2 counts of Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine

 Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Methamphetamine

 Felony Maintain Vehicle for Controlled Substance

 Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia ️

 Misdemeanor Driving While License Revoked

 Driving Left of Center

Vang is currently being held at the Alexander County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond. Her first court appearance is June 29, 2026.


Mai See Hang A/F, age 37, of Conover, was charged with:

 2 counts of Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine

 Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Methamphetamine

 Felony Maintain Vehicle for Controlled Substance

 Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Hang is currently being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond. Her first court appearance is June 29, 2026.
