Trailer Theft Leads To Charges for Marion Man

Captain Paul Alkire with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 44-year-old Jason Michael Thompson of Marion with felony Larceny. He was initially denied bond due to being out on pretrial release.

On Monday, February 2, Deputy Chris Dvorak responded to a local residence after the owner called in a report about a stolen trailer from the property.

An investigation by Capt. Alkire confirmed that Thompson had removed the trailer. The trailer was recovered and returned to the owner. Charges were filed against Thomspon.
