Deputies with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office arrested a wanted man Monday after receiving a tip on his location.
On August 25, 2025, deputies were given information on the whereabouts of Dakota Jenkins. They located him at a residence, where he attempted to flee before barricading himself in a back room. Deputies say Jenkins surrendered without incident after being warned that a K-9 would be deployed.
Jenkins was taken into custody on multiple outstanding warrants, including felony probation violations, five counts of failure to appear on misdemeanor charges, failure to appear on a felony, and failure to pay court costs. He received a secured bond of $91,510 for those charges.
He was also served with additional warrants for resisting a public officer, no insurance, and no registration. No bond was issued on those charges because he was already out on pretrial release.
The Sheriff’s Office thanked community members who provided tips that helped lead to Jenkins’ arrest.
