A Rutherfordton Police Department officer was involved in an early morning accident on South Main Street that left a pedestrian injured, according to a statement from the Town of Rutherfordton.
“Early this morning, a Rutherfordton Police Department officer was involved in an accident on South Main Street that resulted in a pedestrian being injured,” the statement said. “The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is leading the investigation, and the Town and Police Department are fully supporting their review.
