Cleveland County Sheriff's Office Responds to More Than 10,000 Calls in June

The Cleveland County Sheriff's Office remained busy throughout June 2026, responding to thousands of calls while continuing law enforcement, detention, civil process, and narcotics enforcement efforts across the county.


According to the Sheriff's Office monthly activity report, deputies handled 10,196 calls for service during the month, highlighting the steady demand for emergency response and public safety services.


Investigators completed 192 incident reports, including 156 criminal cases and 36 non-criminal incidents. Deputies also made 147 arrests throughout the month.


The Sheriff's Office continued processing concealed handgun permits, issuing 190 concealed carry permits in June.

Civil Division personnel remained active, serving a total of 1,158 legal documents, including:

  • 408 criminal papers

  • 668 civil papers

  • 82 subpoenas

Inside the Cleveland County Detention Center, the average daily inmate population stood at 314 inmates, with 270 male inmates and 44 female inmates housed during the month.


Narcotics Enforcement

Drug enforcement efforts resulted in the seizure of several illegal substances, including:

  • 52 dosage units of pills

  • 36.4 grams of cocaine

  • 148 grams of marijuana

  • 728.1 grams of methamphetamine

  • 50 grams of fentanyl/heroin


Six-Month Activity Trends

The Sheriff's Office also released a six-month comparison showing activity levels from January through June. While June saw a decrease in calls for service compared to January's 12,056 calls, deputies continued to maintain consistent enforcement efforts. Incident reports increased to their highest level of the year in June with 192 reported incidents, while arrests totaled 147.


The monthly report provides a snapshot of the Sheriff's Office's continued commitment to protecting Cleveland County through patrol operations, criminal investigations, detention services, civil process, and narcotics enforcement.


Residents can expect the Sheriff's Office to continue releasing monthly activity reports to provide transparency and keep the public informed about law enforcement activity throughout the county.
