Four Arrested After Major Drug Trafficking Investigation in Rutherfordton

A lengthy narcotics investigation led to a multi-agency operation on June 10, 2026, resulting in four arrests and the seizure of significant quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl from a home in Rutherfordton.
The investigation culminated when the Narcotics Enforcement ACE Team of the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence at 169 Riverview Drive, according to a statement on June 15. The operation was carried out with support from the agency’s Criminal Investigations Division, and in coordination with federal partners including the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the United States Postal Service.
During the search, investigators reported locating approximately 2.8 pounds of methamphetamine along with 55.3 grams of fentanyl powder. Deputies also recovered additional controlled substances and drug-related paraphernalia, according to authorities.
Following the search and ongoing investigation, multiple individuals were taken into custody and face a range of drug trafficking and related charges tied to the case.
Jason William Rollins of Rutherfordton was charged with trafficking fentanyl and trafficking methamphetamine, along with possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver a Schedule IV controlled substance. He also faces charges for maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place for controlled substances, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and exposure of a child to a controlled substance. His bond was set at $540,000 secured.
Jessica Leigh Dalton of Rutherfordton was charged with trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule IV controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place for controlled substances, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and exposure of a child to a controlled substance. Her bond was set at $250,000 secured.
Kimberly Shey Clements of Rutherfordton faces similar charges, including trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule IV controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place for controlled substances, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and exposure of a child to a controlled substance. Her bond was set at $1,000,000 secured.
Malachi Issac Gordon of Rutherfordton was also charged with trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule IV controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place for controlled substances, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and exposure of a child to a controlled substance. His bond was set at $550,000 secured.
In addition, Anna Marie Rollins was charged with exposure of a child to a controlled substance, with bond set at $2,000 secured.
Authorities credited the coordinated effort among local and federal partners for the success of the operation, noting assistance from the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, the DEA, ATF, and the United States Postal Service.
