Marion Woman Charged After Allegedly Shooting Victim with BB Gun

Deputy James Day with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office has charged 38-year-old Jessica Helms Huskins of Marion with felony assault with a deadly weapon to inflict serious injury. Huskins was issued a secured bond of $75,000.
On October 20, Deputy Day responded to a residence in Marion for a reported domestic violence incident. When he arrived, the victim told deputies he had been shot with a BB gun by Huskins, who was inside a bedroom of the home.
The victim had a small hole in his right forearm where the BB was lodged under the skin. Deputies also located the BB gun inside the residence.
