Runaway Juvenile Located

On April 24, 2026, Arianna Deslatte was located and is currently receiving treatment for her condition.

Due to the circumstances on April 23, 2026, members of the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations Division, and Rutherford County Emergency Management initiated a search of the area from which the juvenile had run away.

As the search progressed on April 23, 2026, members of the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team responded to assist with search efforts. After exhausting leads in the immediate area, the search expanded on April 24, 2026, with additional resources from Greenhill, Shingle Hollow, and Sandy Mush Fire Departments, as well as a K-9 team from the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office.

At approximately 2:30 PM, the runaway juvenile was successfully located.

The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office extends its sincere appreciation to our law enforcement partners at the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office and Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office, along with Emergency Management personnel, Henderson County Search and Rescue, Rutherford County EMS, local fire departments, and members of the community for their assistance in locating the juvenile. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the FBI and the North Carolina Highway Patrol for their willingness to assist with additional resources.
