The Rutherfordton Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying individuals connected to a bank fraud investigation. According to authorities, the incident involves fraudulent activity at Truist Bank in Rutherfordton.

Police have released several photos of the individuals and a vehicle believed to be involved. The vehicle appears to be a Chrysler minivan. Officials noted that one person in the images was edited out after being determined not to be involved in the case.

Investigators also reported that a Florida identification card associated with the incident was found to be fraudulent, though the photograph on the ID depicts a person of interest in the investigation.

At this time, these are the best available images as the investigation continues. Anyone with information about the individuals or the vehicle is asked to contact Sgt. D. Owens at 828-287-5062 or the on-duty sergeant at 828-429-4108.
