North Carolina State Auditor Dave Boliek and members of his staff were involved in a minor crash Wednesday morning on Interstate 85 South, according to the Office of the State Auditor.

No injuries were reported, though the vehicle's airbags deployed.

Boliek shared a message of thanks to first responders following the incident.

“Thank you to China Grove and Bostian Heights fire departments, China Grove Police, Rowan Co. EMT, and the NC Highway Patrol … We are all ok (airbags deployed)! This is why we support our first responders!” he said.

Photos from the scene show the sedan carrying Boliek with its airbags deployed. Another image shows a pickup truck towing a trailer. Officials have not released additional details about who was driving or what led to the crash.

The State Auditor’s Office also expressed appreciation in a separate statement for the coordinated response, including assistance from local fire departments, law enforcement, emergency medical personnel, and the North Carolina Highway Patrol.

The tip of our State bureaucratic spear needs to stay with us in this dimension. Dave Boliek's office has information on many topics: Helene fatality fraud, etc.

Here is the link to see the actual audits the State Auditor has published:
