A Marion woman has been charged with felony possession of methamphetamine following a traffic stop on November 10, according to the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputy Tre Spearman initiated the stop near Sugar Hill Road for traffic violations. The driver, 32-year-old Kendra Nicole Braswell, was found operating the vehicle without a valid license and displaying a fictitious tag.
A search of the vehicle uncovered loaded and empty syringes containing methamphetamine, as well as drug paraphernalia. The Marion Police Department assisted with the investigation.
Braswell, who was already out on pretrial release, was denied bond following the charge.
