Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office says additional suspects allegedly helped conceal crime.
The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office has announced six additional arrests in the murder investigation of Jordan Elaine Wishon, bringing the total number of people charged in connection with the case to seven.
Wishon’s case began as a missing person investigation before authorities announced on June 29 that it had become a homicide investigation. Investigators obtained a warrant charging Jaydakis Kashaune Hamilton with first-degree murder, as WCAB News previously reported.
According to the sheriff’s office, investigators later identified additional individuals who allegedly assisted Hamilton after the murder or participated in concealing the crime.
Those charged include:
Christina Hamilton — accessory after the fact.
Tiquah Carter — accessory after the fact.
Alexis Nicole Morgan — accessory after the fact and failure to report a death.
Ronald David Gibson — accessory after the fact and failure to report a death.
Shadrick Deon Hines — accessory after the fact and failure to report a death.
Stevon Wilkerson — accessory after the fact and failure to report a death. Investigators said Wilkerson also had unrelated outstanding warrants at the time of his arrest.
Bond amounts range from $250,000 to $580,000, secured according to the statement and eCourts records. The sheriff’s office said all individuals arrested in connection with the case remain incarcerated.
Hamilton has a prior criminal history in North Carolina, with court records showing previous felony and misdemeanor cases, including charges involving property crimes, motor vehicle offenses and resisting a public officer. The first-degree murder charge in the Wishon investigation is the most serious allegation against him.
The sheriff’s office said the Criminal Investigation Division continues working the case and is committed to holding every person responsible accountable.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
